A Letter from the LI Mystics
Dear Fellow Magic Fan:
You may be interested in joining The Long Island Mystics, the premier affiliation of magic enthusiasts in the New York area. Our membership includes magicians of all ages and skill levels - from full-time professionals and weekend warriors to hobbyists and fans - with different areas of interest – cards, coins, ropes, close-up, stage, mentalism, comedy magic, etc – who share a common love for the conjuring crafts.
Through our association with the Society of American Magicians (as Assembly #77), we have been privileged to support magic in the local area, and to host lectures and performances by many of the finest magical performers in the country. Most of these events are offered to Mystics members free of charge before going on sale to the general public.
Our schedule has included such events as Holiday shows for members’ families; friendly magic competitions; "Video Night"; our annual magic auction; group trips to NY’s "Monday Night Magic"; and world-class lectures by such luminaries as Banacheck, Jeff Hobson, Michael Ammar, Kevin James, and Aldo Columbini, just to name a few, along with the opportunity to share with and learn from fellow compeers.
The Long Island Mystics meet the second Monday of each month at 7:30 PM in the auditorium of the Community United Methodist Church in Massapequa, NY.  Non-members are welcome to attend most meetings, but may be required to pay a modest admission charge.
Joining the L.I. Mystics is a simple procedure as described below.
If you haven’t already done so, I also invite you to contact me regarding our upcoming schedule of events and to make arrangements to attend one of our meetings to see what The Long Island Mystics can offer you.

Mitch Goodkin
